The Great Fishing Trip

  On Sunday the 19th of August my Dad and I went on a fishing trip in Banff Alberta on Lake Louise. Me and my Dad got to Lake Louise at 6 am in the morning and we set up camp, My Dad got the tent set up and the sleeping bags. When he was doing that I went to go get some firewood for the campfire we were going to have tonight. When I came back my Dad had already put the boat in the water and was ready to go fishing, I got my fishing rod from the back of my Dad’s truck and hoped in and untied the not that was holding the boat from not floating away, and just like that we were off into Lake Louise.

 

When we got to our first fishing spot I got up and did my first cast of the season. About two hours in me and my Dad had got nothing We tried: switching bait, moving to another spot, and even switching rods but we still had not gotten a fish. About half an hour later we stopped fishing for a snack break, We had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for our snack and after we finished them we were right back to fishing. I did another big cast and I knew that I was going to get something on this cast. Crank! My rod got wiped by the fish and I knew that I had something. When I was battling with the fish my Dad was coaching me on how to get the fish on the boat and then…
